Jack McVicar Minor Atom AE Petes Sweep the Series
The Jack McVicar Professional Corporation Minor Atom AE Petes swept their series against the Oshawa Generals with a 6-0 win on Thursday night (February 2).  With the win, the Petes move on to face division rivals Whitby Wildcats in the OMHA quarterfinals.

The Petes opened the scoring with a goal from Riley Hagerman on his first shift of the game and never looked back from there.  Strong goaltending from Brody Bolton kept the Petes out front in a back and forth first period and allowed the Petes to enter the second holding onto a 1-0 lead.

The Petes broke things open in the second with a pair of goals from Cole Scanlan and then closed things out in the third period with a pair of goals from Archer Stalteri and a goal from Sawyer Spencley.  The Generals didn't go down without a fight and the Petes managed to weather a storm with strong defense and exceptional goaltending as Bolton earned his second shutout of the series.

Assists during the game went to Hagerman (2), Olivia Mercer (2), Tye Hill, Tristan Lehmann, Tobey Skopelianos and Scanlan.

The Petes open their series with Whitby next Saturday (February 11), 4:45 at the Kinsmen Civic Centre.
