PHA Minor Atom 47's Take Home Bronze
The Minor Atom 47's skated their way to a bronze medal at the OCHL Heritage Select Tournament in Oshawa!

The 47's competed against some tough teams including the Oshawa Falcons, Avenue Road Ducks and Markham Waxers.
In the bronze medal game the 47's played their best game of the season so far against a speedy East York Bulldogs squad that came flying out of the gate.  The 47's where able to withstand the Bulldog's early pressure and began to slowly dictate the pace of the game. Both teams traded scoring chances with big saves made by Kavin Scheurer to keep the 47's in the game.
In the second the 47's killed off three penalties in a row and went right back on the attack.  By the third period the 47's found a hole in the Bulldog's defence and Michael Albert was able to drive to the net from the wall and tuck one past the Bulldog's goalie to take the slim 1-0 lead.
From there the 47's stout defence where able to keep the Bulldog's forced to the outside and take shots from the perimeter while Sheurer made no mistakes and left no rebounds for the Bulldogs to pounce on.
With the Bulldog's net empty the 47's dug deep and defended the last 1:20 in their zone and prevented East York from getting to the front of their net and held on for the 1-0 shutout to take home the Bronze medals!
