The Manulife
Investments Minor Bantam AA Petes tied 2-2 with the North Durham Warriors in
regular season play at the Scugog Community Centre Arena in Port Perry on Wednesday,
October 11, 2017.
The Warriors took the lead in the first period but Jack Ryan scored for the Petes early in the second period assisted by Cole Lester and Isaiah Scott to make it a 1-1 game. Once again the Warriors took the lead 2-1 by scoring on a break-a-way shot. Late in the third period Pete’s Centreman Dominique McMorrow scored assisted by Thomas Golden to tie the game. The game ended in a 2-2 tie.
Ryder Hadwyn played a strong game in net.
Next action for the Manulife Investments Minor Bantam AA Petes is next Thursday, October 19, 2017 when the team travels to the Big Bear Shoot Out Fall Colours Hockey Tournament in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. During the weekend tournament the team will tour Michigan State University Stadium, attend the NCAA Michigan Wolverines vs Vermont game at the Yost Arena, tour the arena and meet with some of the players on the Wolverine Hockey team.
