Game Results: Game vs Belleville Jr. Bulls
This
afternoon the Peterborough Mr. Sub U15 AE Petes hosted the 8-0 Belleville Jr.
Bulls. The Bulls to date have outscored
their opponents 50 – 8 over their eight-game winning streak. The Petes knew this would be a challenging
game and were eager to continue the success they had previously against the
Bulls when the Petes lost 3-2.
The first period was dominated by the Bulls. Adam M. was called upon to make save after save, after save keeping the Petes in the game. The first period would end with the Bulls leading 3-0.
The second period was more of the same, however the Petes managed to get a few scoring chances but were unable to bulge the twine. The Bulls would continue with their relentless attack and pepper the Petes goal with shot after shot. The Petes goalie was again asked to make huge saves stopping a 3 on 0 breakaway to keep the game close. The Bulls would end up taking advantage of a couple of their many scoring chances and end the period leading 5-0.
The third period started with the Petes showing some more jump in their steps. The Petes were working hard to regain the momentum in the game however today it was not going to happen. The Bulls came prepared to play the full 45 minutes from start to finish and closed out the game with a 6-0 victory. The Bulls improved their record to 9-0. Adam M. was outstanding in the Petes net stopping over 30 shots in the game.
Keep your heads held high Petes. We will get them next time!
The Petes next game is against the Whitby Wildcats on Wednesday, December 15th @ 8:15 PM at the Healthy Planet Arena.
