Game Results: Game @ Quinte West Hawks
Yesterday afternoon the Petes travelled to Trenton to play against the Quinte West Hawks for the last time this season.  The Petes were looking to rebound from a veery disappointing performance against the Belleville Bulls that occurred on the previous night.  So far this season the Hawks had got the better of the petes outscoring them 14-1 in both previous games.  The Petes were determined to put forth a better effort and show the Hawks that they have improved since their last meeting.

The game started with the Hawks taking full control of the game hemming the Petes into their zone for long periods at a time.  The Petes were able to play some great defense to start the period and limited the scoring chances by the Hawks to shots from the outside or the blue line.  The Hawks though would be rewarded for their efforts and score to take the lead 1-0.  The Petes then started to gain some momentum on the Hawks by getting the puck deep into their zone.  The Petes were accessed two penalties in the period and the Petes penalty killers were up to the challenge and were able to kill off the penalties and not allow any powerplay goals.  The Hawks though would take advantage of a few Petes mistakes and score three more times to have a 4-0 lead at the end of the first period.

The second period saw the Hawks score three times.  The Petes though were not without their own chances.  As the game was progressing the Petes were gaining more and more confidence.  The Petes would generate a couple great scoring opportunities in the period but were unable to cash them in.  The score at the end of the period was 7-0 for the Hawks.

The third period was full of action as both teams found themselves in the penalty box multiple times.  The Petes would gain a lot of momentum from their powerplay efforts and even though they did not score on the power play were able to hold the momentum and score to break the shutout.  The Hawks thought would answer back and before the period ended would score three times and the make the final score 10-1 in favour of the Quinte West Hawks.

In net for the Petes for this game was Adam M. who was called upon to stop 80 shots.  Adam M. a great job in net.  Way to go Adam!

The Petes next game is against the Peterborough U16 A team on Sunday, December 11th @ 3:00 PM at the Kinsmen.

Goals: Cameron D.
