Perfect Start to November Away From Home
Canada Post may be able to keep the Peterborough Tyke 47s from getting their jerseys, but they can’t keep them from getting wins.

The 47s played two away games this weekend - Saturday VS Whitby and Sunday VS Northumberland. The players walked into both those opposing centres’ barns and showed them who the Peterborough 47s are.

They played hard and they were disciplined. When the buzzer sounded at the end of a shift, they left the puck where it was and gave it everything they had to get back to the bench and tag up, so that the next line could get on the ice.

In Whitby, an extra 8 minutes was put on the clock at the end of the game - Whitby was tired but everyone could see that the 47s were conditioned and ready!! The hard work and extra effort that the players continuously put into practices made them ready for this.

The confidence carried into Cobourg on Sunday. The players were pumped - in the NF.JPGminutes leading up to the game the music was blasting, players were dancing and hockey sticks were being used as guitars. On ice though, those sticks were put to good use. Passes were tape to tape, and the puck continued to find the back of the net.

Saturday’s Hardest Working Warrior of the game was Nathan Fuller and Sunday’s was Cashel Cavanaugh. CC.JPG

First rep goals were scored by Ajay Anderson and Nathaniel Werry.

Shutout on Sunday went to Nathan Xuereb

It was an all around successful weekend for the Peterborough 47’s!!

They are back in action November 17 in Whitby.
