Pee Wee AE win the Justin Williams Cup
The Peterborough Peewee AE Petes won their first tournament of the season this past weekend at the Justin Williams Cup in Cobourg.
They went undefeated, tying their first game on Friday 1-1 vs the Hespeler Shamrocks. On Saturday, they beat the Belle River Jr Canadians 2-1 in their first game, and tied the second game 1-1 vs the Quinte West Hawks. They finished the round robin in second place in Group B, which put them into the semi finals on Sunday morning vs the first place team in Group B, the Clarington Toros. Peterborough came out on top of that game 3-1, and went into the Finals vs the Hespeler Shamrocks. Peterborough found the net in this one, and went on to win 7-1. Congratulations to the team and coaching staff on a great weekend of hockey.
