ServiceMaster Restore Minor Atom A Put in a Tough Weekend
The ServiceMaster Restore Minor Atom A Peterborough Petes dropped both of their weekend games. On Saturday (Oct. 15), the team travelled to Port Perry and fell 4-2. Scoring for Peterborough were Drew Stabler and Ethan Lacey. Andrew Wasson had an assist. On Sunday (Oct. 16), the Petes hosted the top-ranked Uxbridge Stars at the Kinsmen Arena. Uxbridge jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first period. Yet the Stars were unable to capitalize on a series of Peterborough penalties in the second and third periods. The Petes' Joey Donoghue tied the game up 1-1 with a shorthanded goal midway through the third period. Ethan Lacey had the assist. Unfortunately, Uxbridge regained the lead late in the game on a fluky deflection. They held on for the 2-1 win.
