right direction
Five games into the season we have a record of 1-2-2. The coaching staff is very pleased with the progress of the players.
We have had two development sessions, three PEP sessions and have two skating sessions with Karen Bulger scheduled. Our hopes are to have the kids using proper technique to efficiently move up and down the ice. We expect the kids skating to improve immensely throughout this season.
We had a couple of though games recently against very good opponents. It is my suggestion that we stay positive and understand we are moving the program in the right direction. I was informed from one of their coaches that Clarington Toros do not have two equal teams, we played their stronger team. I hope everyone knew how skilled Whitby was going to be! They started with 90 players two years ago. They now have two teams (34 players). Whitby will be strong. We will work hard to get our players to listen, learn, respect and grow as young outstanding individuals on and off the ice, in the classroom and at home.
