The FCI Windows atom AA Peterborough Petes outscored their opponents 17-1 in weekend action.
On Friday (Dec. 8), the team travelled to Kingston to face the Kingston Canadians. Peterborough scored 30 seconds into the game and by the end of the first period had opened up a 4-0 lead.
Peterborough would end up winning 9-0.
On Saturday, the Petes were back home to host the Oshawa Generals. Peterborough opened up a 2-0 lead in the first period, and stretched that to 5-1 by early in the third frame. The Petes would close out the game with an 8-1 win.
Prior to the game, the team purchased toys at Walmart to donate to Santa’s Sleigh, the annual gift-giving program for Peterborough children. People choose a child’s name from a board and purchase gifts that the children have asked for. The gifts are then delivered for Christmas. Each child on the board is receiving protection services from the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society.
