Circul-Air Petes Continue to Soar
The Circul-Air Corp Atom A Petes continued their strong play over the weekend. After stumbling to Whitby Blue (Sept26) by a score of 7-0 the Atom Petes regrouped to register three wins over the weekend.
On Saturday we hosted the powerful Quinte Hawks who were sitting atop the Lakeshore division sitting undefeated. After the Petes surrendered and early goal, goalie Carter Winter held the Petes in until they could find there feet. Peterborough reeled off four goals in the final two frames to win the game 4-1. Peterborough demonstrated patience, hard work and team play to wear down their Quinte counterpart.

On Sunday the Petes travelled highway 7 to play the North Durham Warriors. The Petes pressed and dictated most of the game, showing off their depth of the three forward lines applying pressure throughout the game. The line of Tristan Lehmann, Griffith Coupland, and Sawyer Spencley had an excellent game which propelled the Petes to a win.
The last game of our weekend was played against the Oshawa Generals in Oshawa. Again the Petes pushed the pace early and played a solid team game posting a 3-1 victory to set the Petes atop the Lakeshore standings early in the season with a 6-1 record. The Petes are starting to find their way and getting comfortable with the nine new additions made to this team and will look for this to continue as the season goes along.
The Circul-Air Corp Petes look forward in facing North Durham in a early season rematch at the Evinrude Centre on Thanksgiving Sunday at 1:15 pm
