Service Master Restore Atom AE Petes Open Lakeshore Semi’s with a Pair of Wins
The Service Master Restore Atom AE Petes opened the Lakeshore semi-finals with a pair of wins over the Ajax Knights on the weekend.

The Petes got things started with a 5-1 win in their home rink on Saturday (March 3). Scoring for the Petes were Caeden Kent (2), Riley Hagerman, Tobey Skopelianos and Sam Dickey, with assists coming from Cole Scanlan (2), Archer Stalteri (2), Josh Watson, Jordan Garfat, Joe Donoghue, James Chandra and Dickey. Brody Carrick was in net to pickup the win.

The series kept going on Sunday (March 4), when the Petes travelled to Ajax for what would turn out to be a much tighter affair. The Petes opened up the scoring in the final minutes of the first when Dickey corralled a long stretch pass from Scanlan and managed to fight off a defender to put the puck in the back of the net. The game remained tied until the midway point of the 3rd, when Scanlan notched a goal of his own to give the Petes some breathing room. Skopelianos would round out the scoring with an empty netter, while Bradley Montgomery was between the pipes to pick up the shutout in the Petes 3-0 win.

The next game in the series is Thursday night, when the Petes return home and hope to close out the series.

The Petes would like to thank this week’s sponsor – Liftlock & the Riverboat Cruises.
