Investments Minor Bantam AA Petes had a strong weekend winning their two home
games in regular season play at the Kinsmen Civic Arena.
On
Saturday, January 6, 2018, the team defeated the Oshawa Generals 2-1. Oshawa took
the lead 1-0 in the first period but Mackay Dickey scored the first goal for the
Petes assisted by Thomas Golden and Jack Ryan early in the second period to
make it a 1-1 game. Pete’s Carter Cannon scored the second goal assisted by Dawson
Cook and Dominic McMorrow for the win. Ryder Hadwyn played a strong game in
net.
On Sunday, January 7, 2018, the Manulife Investments Minor Bantam AA Petes took on the North Durham Warriors at the Kinsmen Civic Arena winning 3-1. Michael Carter, Carter Cannon and Matt Collyer scored for the Petes with assists to Dawson Cook, John Croxson, Dominic McMorrow, Jack Ryan and Collyer. Ryder Hadwyn played a sharp game in net.
