FCI Windows played three games over Thanksgiving weekend going 1-1-1

The FCI Windows minor peewee AAA Petes picked up three of a possible six points in Lakeshore League action this weekend.

The team travelled to Clarington Friday (Oct. 5) to face the top-ranked Toros.

Peterborough’s Mike Hanock had two goals in the game while Owen Leahy had a single maker.

Peterborough held a 3-2 lead late into the game but Clarington scored with less than a minute left and the game ended in a tie.

On Saturday, Peterborough hosted Northumberland. The Petes fell 3-1. Scoring the lone goal for Peterborough was Owen Fitzgerald, unassisted.

On Sunday, Kingston came to town for an early afternoon matchup at the Evinrude Centre. After a scoreless first period, Kingston opened up the scoring at 5:51 of the second frame.

The Petes’ Nolan Mason tied the game up late in the third period. Mike Hancock and Owen Leahy had assists.

Peterborough’s Owen Fitzgerald then scored 20 seconds later to give the Petes the lead. Cade Dunford and Dawson Corfe had assists.

Peterborough took a penalty late in the game, but were able to kill it off. Graydon Jones scored an empty-net goal to give Peterborough the 3-1 win.

Next up for Peterborough is a Saturday afternoon matchup against Whitby at home
