Service Master Restore Minor Peewee AE Petes Advance to Lakeshore Finals
Entering play on Saturday (March 9), the Petes needed only a win or tie against North Durham to secure their spot in the finals. While putting in a dominating performance on the ice, the Petes fell short on the scoreboard as the Warriors staved off elimination by handing the Petes a 3-2 loss. Scoring for the Petes were Ben Herder and Jordan Garfat, while assists went to Sam Dickey, Jack Pacey, Josh Watson and DJ Crough.

The Petes had one more opportunity to close out their 3 team round robin when they traveled to Cobourg on Tuesday night (March 12) where they would faceoff against the Northumberland Nighthawks. The Petes continued their dominating play and were rewarded often on this night as they filled the net frequently, with seven different players notching goals in the 7-3 victory, including the first goal of the year for Olivia Mercer. Other goal scorers included Sawyer Spencley, Will Mattie, Riley Hagerman, Andrew Wasson, Crough and Dickey. Crough finished off a five-point night by adding four assists, while other assists went to Spencley (2), Hagerman and Joe Donoghue.

Next up for the Petes is a matchup with the Belleville Bulls for the Lakeshore Championship.

The Petes would like to thank East Bank Variety for their sponsorship this season.
