NDB Firm & Associates Major Bantam A Petes are moving on to the next round
in their
playoff series.
In a round robin series with the North Durham Warriors and the Quinte West Hawks,
the Petes tied North Durham in their first game 3-3. Vincent Galeazza scored the first goal assisted
by Cole Lester. Nick Stinson scored the next two goals with assists from Lucas DiBella and Lester. Kyan Micks supported the team in net.
In game two against the Quinte West Hawks, the Petes won 4-2 with two goals by Nathan Burke, and singles to Chris Girardi and Matthew Robinson. Assists on the goals were by Lucas DiBella, Cole Lester and Nick Stinson. Ryder Hadwyn had a strong game in net.
The Petes clinched their spot to move on to the next series of playoffs by tying the Quinte West Hawks 3 -3. Matthew Robinson scored two goals and Nick Stinson had a single. Assists on the goals were awarded to Cole Lester, Chris Girardi, Vincent Galeazza and Nathan Burke. Kyan Micks tended goal for the team.
Next action for the Petes is Friday, March 1, 2019 when they travel to Clarington to take on the Clarington Toros in a best of six game playoff series.
