Petes logged some hours in the car this past weekend with road trips to
Kingston and Ajax where they were able to continue their strong play and notch
a pair of wins.
The weekend started with a Saturday afternoon game in Kingston. Following a scoreless opening period, the Petes special teams came to life early in the second period when they rattled off a power play goal and followed it up with a pair of shorthanded goals. The Petes would add a pair of even strength goals on route to a 5-1 victory. Scoring for the Petes were Michael Hancock (4) and Tobey Skopelianos, while assists went to Cade Dunford (3), Riley Hagerman (2) and Vernie O’Brien.
The Petes road trip would continue on Sunday as they travelled to Ajax to take on the Knights in a late afternoon matchup. The Petes would take care of business and pick up some crucial points as they skated to a 4-1 victory on the backs of goals from Lucas Tataryn (2), Hancock and Skopelianos. Assists during the game came from Skopelianos (2), Charlie Mundell (2), Carter Christensen, Jack Pacey, Hagerman and Hancock, while James Sullivan picked up his second win of the weekend in net.

Next up for the Petes is an action packed 3 game weekend that sees the Petes travel to North Durham on Friday night before hosting a pair of games on Saturday (2:15 @ Kinsmen vs. Kingston) and Sunday (7:15 @ Evinrude vs. Clarington).
