Warriors Tournament - Game #2 vs Ingersoll Express
The Peterborough Mr. Sub U15 AE Petes second game of the Warriors Tournament was versus the Ingersoll Express at the Bill Burgoyne arena.  The Express are a team based out of the London area.  The Express entered the tournament with regular season record of (18-15-4) (wins-loses-ties).  In the tournament the Petes entered the game (1-0-0) and the Express with a (1-0-0).

With a playoff atmosphere in the air the game started with some great back and forth action.  Both teams played well defensively and the battled hard for every inch of ice.  The Express would take one penalty in the period and the Petes had opportunities to score but were unable to beat the Express goalie.  The game would remain scoreless at the end of the first period.

In the second period the Petes turned up the pressure and took control of the game.  The Petes were rewarded for their efforts 4-minutes into the period and scored a highlight reel goal to take a 1-0 lead in the game. The Express would then resort to focusing on physical play to try and regain momentum and end up receiving three consecutive penalties. The Petes though were unable to capitalize on their powerplay chances and the Express would weather the storm.  Gaining some confidence from their recent penalty kills the Express would take advantage of a defensive breakdown by the Petes and score to tie the game 1-1 with seventeen seconds left in the period.

In the third period the game became tighter checking as both teams were not willing to give the other team the lead.  Both teams would get multiple powerplay opportunities, but both teams penalty killing units were up to the task and shutdown all scoring attempts.  There would be no scoring in the third period and the game would end in a 1-1 tie.

This game was a great battle between two teams that play a similar style of hockey.
