Exhibition Day -2018/19 Season Underway
It has been a long summer and the Novice AA Petes were chomping at the bit to get into game action. With a couple young men getting their first chance to wear a Petes jersey and many others coming together as a new Novice Rep group for their first games it sure was a promising start to the 2018/19 season.
The first game of the day Sunday saw the 180 Hunter Petes head down the 115 to Clarington to match up against likely one of the strongest AA teams we'll face ...Clarington was playing their 3rd game of the season and sported a 2and 0 record outscoring opponents 18-7....The boys held tough and end up on the losing end of a 3-1 game with the final tally being an empty netter... Camden Merrick had the lone tally inn the loss...
Just a few hours later back home to host the Northumberland Nighthawks and it was a back and forth affair. On the heels of Rylan "Bobby Orr" Chattens game winner and a strong team effort the kids prevailed with a 4 to 3 win. Other goals came from Ben Chambers, Taymon Browne and Isaac Kennedy....Lots of solid efforts up and down the lineup....Next Action for the boys if Friday vs Burlington as they kick off the Kawartha Lakes AA Tourney...Should be a great weekend !
