Service Master Restore Atom AE Petes Provide Some Christmas Cheer
The Service Master Restore Atom AE Petes took an opportunity this past week to gather and donate some Christmas presents for the residents at Fairhaven’s Seniors Group. Our team thought this would be a good way to give back to a community that has been so generous in helping us with fundraising and sponsorships this year.

While dropping the items off, the members of the team had an opportunity to tour the Kawartha Food Share warehouse and get a first hand glance at the wonderful work that this organization does to support our local community.

The Petes then got back to business on the ice as they travelled to Belleville on Saturday (Dec. 16) to faceoff with the junior Bulls. Following a scoreless first period, the Petes opened things up early in the second with a goal from Tobey Skopelianos. The Bulls would tie things up a few minutes later, but the then the Petes broke the game open when Skopelianos netted his second and James Chandra scored a pair of goals on the following shift.

With a 4-1 lead and the Petes controlling play, it looked like they were going to sail away with the win, but the Bulls fought back and scored two quick goals at the end of the 2nd period, sending the game to the 3rd with the Petes up 4-3.

The Petes quickly turned things around in the third, beginning with Adam Revak’s long awaited first goal of the season and finishing things off with goals from Caeden Kent and Jayden Howson.

The Petes 7-3 win included assists from Sam Dickey (3), Jack Pacey (2), Cole Scanlan, Skopelianos and Kent. while Bradley Montgomery was strong in net to pick up the win.

Next up for the Petes is a matchup with the Pickering Panthers on Saturday afternoon (Dec. 23) at the Kinsmen.

The Petes would like to thank Dairy Queen for being this week’s sponsor.
