The ServiceMaster Restore Minor Atom A Peterborough Petes improved to 2-1 in league play with a big win Saturday (Sept. 24). The team pounded Pickering 16-0 in their home opener at the Peterborough Memorial Centre. The Petes came out strong from the first shift and didn't let up all game. They opened the scoring less than two minutes in and their final goal came with just one second remaining in the game. Scoring for Peterborough were DJ Crough (4), Andrew Wasson (2), Sam Dickey (2), Vernie O'Brien (4), Drew Stabler, Lucas Tataryn, Joey Donoghue and Josh Watson. Assists went to Ethan Lacey (3), Crough, Cole Stevens (2), Watson (2), Wasson (3), Tataryn, Donoghue (2) and Dickey.
