Back-to-Back Weekend Wins for ServiceMaster Restore Minor Atom A Petes
The ServiceMaster Restore Minor Atom A Peterborough Petes picked up back-to-back road wins on the weekend. On Saturday (Oct. 1), the team defeated the Clarington Toros 3-2. The Petes' DJ Crough opened the scoring at the halfway mark of the first period. Ethan Lacey had the assist. Clarington tied the game 1-1 in the second period, but Peterborough's Lucas Tataryn made it a 2-1 game with a goal in the third period. Drew Stabler had the assist. The Petes extended their lead to 3-1 with a goal from Andrew Wasson late in the third period. Cole Stevens had the assist. Clarington scored on the powerplay with about two minutes remaining, but the Petes held on for the win. Carter Winter had a strong game in net.
