IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PHA MEMBER REFUNDS
We are quite proud of the level of safe, quality programming the Peterborough HockeyAssociation was able to provide this Season. Although it ended earlier then we hadhoped, we felt there was great value in what was achieved this PHA Season. We wouldlike to thank all the volunteers associated with the on ice and off ice programming this year.......
....
Also, many thanks for the patience and understanding from our PHA Member Families considering all the challenges we faced as an association this season.
After analyzing all the season expenses, the PHA Board is comfortable acknowledging
that we have a surplus of roughly $145,000 for this season. We have agreed to disburse
this amount back to the membership in the following increments.
All Tier 1 registered players are entitled to a $375 refund.
Tier 1 programming ran from September 14, 2020 to March 7, 2021. The Tier 1 program
received 3-4 ice times per week with 1-2 games each week. Tier 1 received
professional development for both skaters and goalies. All Tier 1 Teams received new
uniforms. Many Tier 1 Coaching received updated Coaching Certifications and all
Coaches received professional practice plan programs for shared development.
With discounts applied Tier 1 families paid $1125 for the season.
All Tier 2 registered players are entitled to a $50 refund.
Tier 2 programing ran from October 15, 2020 to March 7, 2021. The Tier 2 program
received 2 ice times per week with most divisions having one practice and 1 game each
week. Tier 2 did not receive any development programs.
With discounts applied Tier 2 families paid $550 for the season.
PHA Member Refund Qualification & Regulations:
If full fees were paid by individual family then you are entitled to receive the outlined
refund amount and can have it paid to you in one of three methods:
Option 1: You can have the PHA apply the entitled refund amount to the payment
method given to the PHA during your registration. (A refund to the Credit
Card or Visa Debit you provided at the time of registration)
Option 2: You can request the PHA apply an alternate form of payment, via a
different Credit Card or an e-transfer to your personal bank account.
We ask this option only be selected if completely necessary; such as
the card you used to register is no longer in service or if the card you used
to pay was someone else’s card (such as a grandparents card) and you
need the money sent another way.
Option 3: You can have the PHA apply your refund as a Credit to your Hockey
Canada Profile for your child. When you go to Register next season you’ll
already have paid the $375 or $50 portion towards the fees for next
season. You will then have to pay only the balance of next season
registration fees at Registration time.
Please Note: if you received financial assistance last year for your children through any
of the available support programs, this refund will not be sent back in cash payment.
You will only be entitled to #3 Credit option towards the Hockey Canada Site. This is for
the child who received the support payment only and will be used towards their fees for
next season. In the event your child does not return to play hockey at all next season
we will inquire with the assistance program funding your request and determine with
them how to refund the money to their organization, or if they prefer to our charity
organization PHA Cares.
Process and timelines
Option 1 If you want the Refund, there’s nothing to do. Do not fill out the form unless you want the funds credited to a different credit card or bank account then how you paid for registration this season.
The PHA will automatically apply the refund amount to the method of
payment you used originally.
Option 2 You have until 11:30PM April 10th if you choose Option 2 (the Refund but
applied to a different Card or Account)
Option 3 You have until 11:30PM April 10th if you choose Option 3 (the Credit
towards your Hockey Canada Profile/next Season’s Registration Fees)
There will be no exceptions to this timeline.
If we do not have the attached form in by 11:30PM April 10th, you will be receiving the
Option 1 Refund back option automatically.
If it is Option 2 or 3 you want, please fill in the form accessed by the link below. It is also under "registration" on our "home page" for this website.
