Pre-Skates, Contact Clinic and Tryout Information - Passports Close Sept 1st
Welcome to the 2021-2022 Rep hockey season, we hope you are all doing well.  There are still many unknowns with the Province, OMHA, City Health Units and Arena Division and hockey might not go as planned. The PHA Rep Executive we will be ready to go with other plans if needed. However, we are still hoping for a somewhat of a regular season and will be going ahead with pre-tryout, contact clinics, and tryouts starting September 7th.

With the current limits allowed in city and rural arenas pre-skates and tryouts will all be done through alphabetically cohorts to meet current limits. Alpha list will be made available closer to the skates as the Passports are still available and we do not have final numbers.

Passports:

To be eligible to tryout for the Peterborough Hockey Associations Rep teams you must be regionally compliant before tryouts and have already purchased passports online.

Passport sales will be cut off Sept 1st as it will take time to cohort and determine numbers on the ice.

Pre-Tryout Skates:

All players registered for a tryout passport will be eligible to take part in the pre-tryout skates starting September 7th.  Coaches from the divisions and Rep Directors will be coordinating and running these skates.  Schedules have been posted on the PHA website under the Tryout Tab. These are subject to change and will be updated after passports close.

Contact Clinics:

All 2007 & 2008 players registered for a tryout passport will be eligible to take part in a two-part hitting clinic.  This will be run through Overtime Hockey and Ken McRae will be the lead instructor.  Head coaches for these age groups will be invited to take part as well.

Although coaches will be on the ice for these skates, they will not be tryouts and coaches will not pass judgement or use them to evaluate. They are to allow players to get back into the swing of hockey and to become familiar with all players in their age groups.

Covid Protocol

All players and parents entering the arenas will need to read all Covid protocols and complete a covid screening before entering for all skates, clinics and tryouts.  The Screening will be the same as last years until teams are formed at which a new program will be used and monitored by each team’s manager.  All protocols for the OMHA, PPHU, PHA and arenas will be found under the Covid-19 Tab on our website.

More information will be released closer to the skates, including specific lists for cohorts.

If you have any questions, please reach out to me or your age groups Rep Director for any help.

Regards,

VP Rep
