Spectator Vaccine Policy Update
All local associations were sent the following instructions from Peterborough Public Health Unit.  The sign in sheet for all spectators will now have a Double Vaccination check for all parents entering.  All spectators 12 and over must show proof of Double Vaccination before checking this box and entering the cities arenas. The city has provided a template for this form which will be available on our website for all coaches and manager, all spectators entering must be on the form, including visiting teams starting Sept 22nd.

This message is going out to all associations to help member understand the policy.

All arena spectators aged 12+ will be subject to the Provincial Vaccination Passport rules effective Wednesday, September 22nd.

Due to details shared by the Provincial Government earlier this week, the OMHA will be reviewing their vaccination policy. More on that to come but the current OMHA Double Vaccination Policy is still in effect until further notice. All players trying out must either be double vaccinated currently or attest to have this by the OMHA deadline of Oct 31st (Oct 17th and two-week waiting period). Today is the deadline to fill the form out on the website to be eligable to take part in tryouts next week.

The Province also provided more details and stated that Coaches, Officials and Volunteers would be exempt from the Vaccination Passport requirements. However, an order issued today by Rosana Salvaterra, Medical Officer of Health for Peterborough Public Health will require all eligible participants aged 18+ to be fully vaccinated after all, including Coaches, Officials and Volunteers.

This will have virtually no impact on our programming.

However, as the permit holder for the ice, we are being made responsible for gathering this data from all our participants and spectators (including visiting teams and spectators) beginning on Wednesday. We are taking the steps needed to ensure our volunteers have the tools and resources required to handle this. PLEASE be patient and kind. These are not our policies; we're just required to enforce them - and there are no exceptions from the rules. Abusive language or behavior directed at our staff/volunteers will not be tolerated and could lead to facility bans.
