Hockey Canada Dressing Room Policy
Hello PHA Parents & Players:

You may or may not have heard, but Hockey Canada has implemented a policy with respect to dressing rooms. There is a link below to the policy as well as FAQ's.

This policy came into effect on Sept 12, 2023, however we were only made aware of this policy change much like you; yesterday from a CBC newspaper article.
There was a Lakeshore meeting last night, & OMHA was present. They had just completed a call with Hockey Canada, and there is no clear definition at this time of "base layer." The policy does however, give examples. Whether or not underwear (eg. briefs) constitutes a base layer in unknown.

At no time is a player to be naked in the dressing room, unless showering in a designated shower area.

If ANYONE asks for a separate dressing room for any reason (eg. gender, religion, etc), they are to be accommodated without question.

Any questions, comments or complaints should be directed to Hockey Canada.
