The RBC Dominion Securities Atom AA Lakeshore Silver
Lakeshore finalists… The RBC Dominion Securities Atom AA Pete’s came up a bit short vs Whitby Wildcats, but the staff is so proud of this group. Lakeshore silver is still something be proud of and top three overall is amazing.

Game one of the Lakeshore finals was last Sunday in Whitby, it saw a very determined Peterborough team
battle as the underdogs. They worked hard and surprised Whitby with their hard work, speed and determination.
Both teams traded goals back and forth and the third period ended in a 4-4 tie, pushing the teams to Overtime.
Afters a Pete's Power play early in the extra from, Peterborough hit a post but were unable to capitalize. Whitby
got their own man advantage with three minutes left in overtime and were able to sneak on in and win game one.

Game two back in Peterborough last Thursday was another tight game. Whitby scored early in the second to take a 1-0 lead into the third, but when teams were 4 on 4 the Pete’s were able to out work Whitby down low and score the game equalizer.  Both teams battled throughout the third, but with 43 seconds left Whitby was able to break in and score, heart breaker for the Peterborough group who worked so hard throughout game two.

Today the teams met in Whitby for game three, a must win for Peterborough.  This was a close game early on with both teams battling for position.  However a talented Whitby team was able to capitalizes on a few Pete’s errors and take a 3-1 lead into the third period.  Peterborough continued to battle but just ran out of steam loosing 4-1 in the end.

With many new faces on the team this season, it took some time for the team to come together. But they found their way midseason, had big showings and were finalists in Oshawa, Detroit and Liftlock tournaments. They battled through playoffs knocking off Ajax, Kingston and Belleville, just running out of steam vs. a strong Whitby team, but battled hard and were in every game. The team played their 70th game today and hit the ice more the 178 times throughout the season. This was a great year with a great group all around. I was so honoured and proud to work with all of these kids. Thank you to all the parents for your dedication and trusting us to coach your child. I could not have done it without such a great staff, thank you to coaches Todd Rogers, Pat Ralph, Tim Rutherford, trainer Chris Moncrief , manager Dana Chambers, fitness coach Dave Chambers and goalie coach Colin Caley.  A special thank you to Matt Temple and our RBC Dominion Securities sponsorship.
All members of the team worked hard and contributed to the great playoff run. Team members include:
Antonio Bianco and Nathan Sorichetti who both played strong in net all season, especially down the stretch. Griffin Rutherford, Eddie Chambers, Kyle Duda, Blayden Davis, Cameron Reynold and Ben Gusso who worked  and battled hard on defence all season.  On forward was Katie Belk, Jack Davies, Travis Heffernan, Caiden Rogers, Aedan Temple, Kaleb Jamieson, Blake Moncrief, Hunter Young and Casey Richardson.
