Game Results: Game @ Belleville Bulls
Last night, the Peterborough Mr. Sub U15 AE Petes travelled down the 401 to meet up with the Belleville Bulls.  With the Bulls on a 6 game winning streak and outscoring their opponents 42-5 the Petes knew they would have to bring their best effort to compete against the Bulls.

The first period started off with the Petes matching the intensity of the Bulls stride for stride.  Both teams had some great scoring chances, but Adam M. and the Bulls goalie were equal to the task making huge saves.  The first period would end with a score of 0-0.

The second period was a great period for the Petes as they were able to use their speed and skill to break down the trap that the Bulls were playing in the neutral zone.  Both teams again generated multiple scoring opportunities as the play started to open up with end-to-end action.  The Bulls however would be first to score as they took advantage of a neutral zone turn over and opened the scoring mid second period.  The Petes not to be outdone would continue to fight through the tight checking of the Bulls and were rewarded with a goal of their own six minutes later.  The second period would end tied 1-1.

The third period was filled with intensity.  The Petes were energized and came out of the intermission with intentions to take control of the game.  However, the Bulls had a different idea as they upped the pressure on the Petes by increasing their hit count.  Two and a half minutes into the period the Bulls would end up being the beneficiary of an own goal by the Petes and take a 2-1 lead in the period.  Next the Bulls would start to run into penalty issues and the Petes were awarded with a powerplay.  The Bulls however would again take advantage of a turnover inside their own blue line and score their third goal of the night making the score 3-1.  More penalty problems would plague the Bulls and with the Petes goalie pulled for the extra attacker the Petes would score again to make the score final score 3-2 in favour of the hometown Bulls.  It was a great effort put forth by the entire Petes team as the Bulls team were shocked and didn’t expect the game to be as close as it was.

Goals scored by: Caeden K., Connor T.

Assists by: Will M.,  Hayven W., Connor T.

The Petes next game is against the Whitby Wildcats on Saturday, November 27th @ 4:45 PM at the Kinsmen Civic Centre.
