Every year the PHA is the City of Peterborough's largest ice user and each year we are short ice to properly schedule our Rep and House League programs. We have to rely on other City's and townships arenas for practices, games and tryouts. We are known as a hockey city and this is being lost due to the lack of proper hockey facilities available for all users to share.
There is a petition going around asking Peterborough City Council to revisit the construction of a new recreation centre. You can find the petition here:
