2023-24 U14-U16 BB/ C Programming Decision
Hello PHA Families:
As you are aware, we have been awaiting information/ direction from OMHA & Lakeshore League with respect to BB/ C designation for the 2023-24 season. On Wednesday May 10, 2023, PHA held its Annual General Meeting, and announced that PHA's designation will be 'C' which is full contact (body checking).
On April 21, 2023, I published an article asking for input from the PHA membership. In total, there were only 16 votes received; 12 for C (body checking), & 4 for BB (no body checking).
As a result, U14 - U16 players being released from A tryouts will automatically go to C tryouts. Just like AA & A tryouts, C tryouts will be full contact.
As per the PHA tryout policy, if a player refuses a spot on an A team, they will be placed in House League for the upcoming season.
