Picture Perfect for the Tyke 47's
It wasn't the players, but rather the parents that faced the first challenge before the game. Today was picture day, and the Peterborough Tyke 47's had to be out of bed before 9am. Hair brushed, and equipment on, the players flashed their pearly whites before heading west to Whitby.

The Peterborough Tyke 47’s first trip into Whitby was a huge success and they knew they had a difficult challenge ahead of them going back. Today, they were up against Whitby’s other Tyke select team. The players went in expecting a battle, and Whitby didn’t disappoint them.

The checks were hard and the battles intense. Whitby was bigger, but Peterborough was faster. The 47’s won all of the races - to the puck and to the bench. Their speed to the bench for changes HF.JPG
resulted in breakaways and goals. This is why they skate so hard in practice - they
skate until they get it right, and until everyone is giving it everything they have.

The 47’s made Peterborough a bit bigger today; they took over the Iroquois
Park Arena and made it Peterborough’s arena!!

The Tyke 47’s dug deep and came out on top again. Hard work and perseverance
continue to pay off.

The hardest working warrior of the game was Hayden Fox.

The 47’s are back at home November 25 - 12:15pm at the Evinrude. Come cheer on the youngest team representing the City of Peterborough.
