Centre by centre. City by city. This train is barrelling down the track and there’s no sign of derailment.
This afternoon the Peterborough Tyke 47’s rolled into Ajax, and the coaches nerves were at an all time high. Ajax was saying they were the top team in the league.
This was going to be a battle - 2 undefeated teams going head to head. There were 2 trains heading down this track, and one was going to be derailed.
Ajax was adamant about changing lines. They wanted to get in the 47’s heads. The Peterborough players changed positions - many playing positions they’d never played before. But they adapted like everyone knew they would. It just goes to show the versatility of these kids and their attention to detail in practices.
With typical strategies and systems out the door, the 47’s were forced to play skill on skill. And the compete was there. There was back checking, battles, amazing saves, well earned goals and sick cellys.
Ajax thought they were number one until they met the 47’s. This team rose to the occasion yet again and came out on top.
The hardest working warrior of the game was Caleb

Gillespie.
Best dance moves went to Coach Chad after the game.
This train continues on the track to Brampton December 8, where they compete in the Bob Giroux Memorial Tournament.
