The Peterborough
Petes went into Oshawa’s Hockeyfest tournament feeling confident and ready to
play as a team. They came out strong,
playing with heart. Their fore-checking
and back-checking kept their opponents on their heels.

It was fun to play our league opponent, Oshawa, and come out on top! The Petes lost one in the first round against a good team; a team they held to within a two goal lead, even after they had shown themselves to be prolific scorers.
The Petes were excited to get through to the finals. It was a very exciting game which could have gone either way. We played such a solid game, with a 4-3 loss to a very good team, the Leitrim Hawks.
The boys sure looked great in those silver medals!
No game is complete without recognition of our loyal fans, and their enthusiastic shouts of “Go Petes Go”!
