The Novice Petes made a great showing at the Peterborough Thanksgiving AE Tournament. This was the first tournament experience for the boys. Chi was a real team booster showing up for every game with a broken ankle!We had a solid win in our first game Friday morning even though all the boys were upset about missing school. The boys played hard in our second game but were defeated by a very strong team from Waterloo.
The team really came together Saturday morning for their second win. However we experienced another tough loss Saturday afternoon.Saturday evening we had a great pizza party and get together at the coach’s house – thanks John and Jan!On Sunday morning we played an exciting semi-final game setting the tone for how we want to play all year long. We went into overtime playing the team that beat us Saturday afternoon and lost a very close game 3 – 2.
