The Trent Lakes Plumbing Minor Peewee AA team took part in the Glenn Bellerby Memorial Tournament in Barrie over the weekend. This tournament was host to many of the top teams in Ontario as well as two teams from Jokerit, Finland.
The Petes faced off Friday vs North Toronto and Barrie, two highly ranked teams who would be a great challenge for the Peterborough team heading into OMHA league playoffs in a week. They were defeated 3-1 by North Toronto and 2-0 by the host, but proved to themselves that they could play with those top teams as both games were close and they battled right to the end.

The Trent Lakes Plumbing Minor Peewee AA team travelled to Detroit to
represent Canada in the Nations Cup Tournament 2008 Gold division.
The Canadian Petes faced off Friday morning vs. Kensington Valley, who
were representing the USA side. After a slow start, the Petes scored
first, on a goal by Blake Moncrief assisted by Jack Gauvreau. After the
USA side notching the equalizer, the Canadians scored three unanswered
goals from Braedan Saxby, Travis Heffernan and Kaleb Jamieson with
assists to Aedan Temple, Moncrief and Tristan Boucher with two. Antonio

The Trent Lakes Plumbing Minor Peewee AA Petes have been on a roll and took 7 of a possible 8 points in the past week. Last Saturday the team faced off at home vs. Kingston in a rematch of a very feisty battle a few weeks ago. The Petes came out with lots of energy and took a quick lead on goals from Braedan Saxby and Travis Heffernan. But the teamwork and determination did not stop there, Jack Gauvreau stepped up scoring a hattrick and putting the team well ahead.

The Trent Lakes Plumbing Minor
Peewee AA Pete’s have played six games in four days. They started off Thursday with a league game
vs. Northumberland Nighthawks. The team
picked up a win 2-0, moving their league record to 2-0-1 in the early Lakeshore
season. Braeden Couture scored the
opening goal with assists to Caiden Rogers and Blake Moncrief. Travis Heffernan notched the second goal
after being set up from Aedan Temple and Tristan Boucher. Antonio Bianco was able to pick up his second
shutout in net.
