U8's Give Back
On Sunday, this U8 team gave back to the community. They started out at Kawartha Foodshare and sorted boxes. They were told after that they did more work in
an hour that sometimes gets done in a day. These 7 year-olds are quite the handworkers both on and off the ice.
Shortly after, the team headed to Wal-Mart to buy some Christmas presents for kids around their own age that have suffered some hardships this year. "It will make their Christmas' a bit brighter". Said the group of year-olds. They each put their own money towards helping out to buy a gift and the coaches and their families were very proud:)
This was in partnership with Small Change Peterborough that Coach Josh McGrath & Coach Chad Buchner are a HUGE part of. It is a charitable group whose focus is supporting and enhancing the lives of families in need within the Peterborough community. They support approx. 75 kids and families each year. And this year the Peterborough U8 Darling Insurance Pete's did that:)
