Service Master Restore Minor Peewee AE Petes are Moving On
Following a pair of hard fought wins on the weekend, the Service Master Restore Minor Peewee AE Petes are moving onto the second round of OMHA playoffs.

With the series tied at two points each, the Petes played host to a packed house on Saturday afternoon as they took on the Quinte West Hawks. The Petes weren’t looking to disappoint their fans on this day and came out flying in what would be one of their most dominating performances of the year. While the Petes struggled to find the back of the net, the constant offensive pressure would finally pay off with a pair of early third period goals from Riley Hagerman and James Chandra. Quinte would pull within a goal when they converted one of their rare opportunities, but Andrew Wasson quickly responded to give the Petes a 3-1 lead that would stand when the final buzzer sounded. Hagerman and Chandra also picked up assists during the game and Adam McGinn earned the win in net for the Petes.

After a little pre-game snow-shoveling the Petes loaded up and headed to Quinte on Sunday, where they would look to keep the momentum going and finish off the series. As seemed to be the case throughout the series, the Quinte goaltending was solid and kept their team in the game from start to finish. A lone second period goal from Wasson, off an assist from DJ Crough, was the only puck to beat the Quinte goalie, but it was all the Petes needed as they battled hard and closed out the series with a 1-0 win. Nathan Crossley was perfect in net to pick up the shutout and earn his second win of the series.

The Petes now move on to face the Belleville Bulls and will open with a game in Belleville on Saturday before returning home to the Kinsmen on Tuesday night for game two of the series.

The Petes would like to thank FWOinsure for their sponsorship support this season.
