NDB Firm and Associates Major Bantam
A Petes moved up to a three way tie for second place in the Lakeshore League
standings after winning their two away games this past week.
On Monday, October 22, 2018, the team traveled to Whitby to play the Whitby Wildcats White Team. The team defeated Whitby 3-1 with Nick Stinson getting a hat trick by scoring all three goals assisted by Chris Girardi and Cole Lester. Ryder Hadwyn supported the team in net.
On Wednesday, October 24, 2018, the Petes took to the road again to play the league’s top place Clarington Toros. The Petes played a strong game and defeated the Toros 5-4. Nick Stinson scored two goals with singles going to Cole Lester, Chris Girardi and Liam Vollans. Lester, Kaiden Bletsoe and Noah Davidson had two assists each on the goals with single assists to Nick Stinson and Callum Baker. Kayan Micks played a strong game in net.
“I am proud of the boys for their dedication and determination,” says Shawn Micks, Head Coach. “The boys have been working hard to improve their skills and their work is paying off. We have some big games coming up this weekend against some top teams and we look forward to keeping our successful momentum going. We have a positive attitude and we know that if we do the right things and continue to work hard as a team, we will continue to be successful.”
The NDB Firm and Associates Major Bantam A Petes have two home games this weekend playing the Ajax Knights on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 8:30 pm at the Kinsmen Civic Centre and the Quinte West Hawks on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 5:00 pm at the Evinrude Centre.
