Service Master Restore Atom AE Petes Fall Short in Lakeshore Championship
Following a pair of overtime losses to the Northumberland Nighthawks, the Service Master Restore Atom AE Petes season came to an end as the Nighthawks completed a sweep of the series on Saturday afternoon (March 24).

Earlier in the week, the Petes had faltered in back to back 4-3 overtime losses to the Nighthawks, but looked to turn things around and get back into the series with a win in the third game.  The Petes came out flying and with a pair of goals from Caeden Kent had built a 2-1 lead heading to the third period. Unfortunately, the Nighthawks capitalized on a couple of missteps by the Petes in the third and were able to put up three unanswered goals to roll to a 4-2 victory and a sweep of the series.

While the season didn’t end as expected for the Petes, they should be proud of all they accomplished throughout the season, including a tournament victory at the Kitchener Oktoberfest tournament, reaching the semi-finals in Guelph and at the Wayne Gretzky tournament and only losing one game during the regular season of Lakeshore play.

The Petes will conclude their hockey season when they participate in the Spring Thaw tournament in a couple of weeks, but would like to take and opportunity to thank all of their sponsors for the great support they received throughout the season, including our final sponsor of the week – Wayne and Marg Pacey.
