FCI Windows Atom AA Petes Pickup Three More Wins
The FCI Windows atom AA Peterborough Petes remain undefeated after sweeping their weekend schedule.

The team played three games in as many nights, but were able to skate away with victory in all three games. On Friday night (Nov. 10), Peterborough defeated Kingston 4-0 on home ice.

Following a scoreless first period, Peterborough opened the scoring midway through the second period. The score would remain 1-0 until the Petes would net a shorthanded goal late in the third. The team would add two more goals to take the 4-0 win.

On Saturday (Nov. 11), the Petes hosted Northumberland at the Kinsmen Civic Centre.

Peterborough got on the board first when a shot from the point found the back of the net late in the first frame.

Northumberland would tie it up a little over 30 seconds into the second period, but Peterborough regained the lead five minutes later. However, Northumberland evened it up two minutes later and then took the lead with a late-period goal.

At the 10 minute mark of the third period Peterborough scored to tie the game 3-3. Then, at 5:40 of the third period, Peterborough netted the eventual game winner.

On Sunday (Nov. 12), the Petes travelled to Belleville to face the Junior Bulls.

Belleville opened the scoring early in the second period, but Peterborough tied it up not long after and, following a pair of shorthanded goals, would go on to take the game 6-2.

Next up for the team is this weekend’s Silver Stick regional tournament in Georgina.
